A General Overview
For many years the high quality far infrared saunas dominated the infrared sauna market. Craftsmanship, for the most part was very high, woods used were Canadian Cedar and quality white woods such as basswood and Canadian hemlock. Rigid quality control, control of woods and glues used and consistent after sale support have been the hallmarks of our industry.

In the last 5 years, the growth of the internet and cheap manufacturing has spawned numerous sauna companies importing containers of infrared saunas with no understanding of the therapeutic benefits of infrared therapy. They offer uncertified, low quality saunas on the web; saunas as a cheap commodity.
Some of these low quality saunas have safety problems with the basic wiring, cheap controls and heaters that are barely functional, noxious odors from toxic glues being used, wood that has not been finish sanded, mismatched veneers, bare wires and more.

What is the difference between our saunas and more expensive saunas?
There are a lot of saunas on the market that claim to be more than they actually are. Many are over priced and make wild claims about their heaters being superior. At Galaxy Saunas, we want you to get the best quality sauna with parts and components that are put through the toughest tests to ensure quality and longevity. All of our saunas incorporate the features listed below, which are what set us apart from our competitors.

● Built-in safety systems:  Our waterproof electronic connections prevents overheating of the unit which can cause a fire. ● Advanced tongue and groove construction: The Galaxy far infrared home sauna features double wall construction using the highest quality red cedar and hemlock lumber. Using separate tongue and groove panels on the inside and outside provides an insulation gap between the two walls, ensuring proper heat retention in your infrared home sauna. 

● Narrow planks:  The wood used in our infrared home sauna is not the normal 4" wide planks that are found  in most saunas. Our infrared saunas are constructed with planks that are approx. 2" in width. This helps create a tighter more rigid sauna room that retains the heat much better. Using these narrow planks also eliminates the cracking of the wood found in other saunas. When the saunas heat up, the wood can warp, bow and crack on the 4" planks. The narrow boards that we use in our far infrared saunas will not have these problems.
